3 Middle School Students Injured in Bus Accident
A Monday morning bus accident in Nashville caused three middle school students and the bus driver to suffer minor injuries and require treatment at a local hospital.
According to a report by wsmv.com, the accident occurred shortly before 7 a.m. near the Nashville International Airport at the intersection of Depp Woods Trail and Deep Woods Court. Reports state that the bus hit a small dip in the road, causing students to lunge forward and suffer injuries due to their backpacks striking their bodies.
Another bus accident also occurred Monday morning at the intersection of Elm Hill and Donelson pikes in the Donelson area of Nashville.
Nashville Metro Police say that in the second accident, the bus driver turned left in front of an oncoming car. The car struck the bus, then veered out of control and struck two additional vehicles. There were two children on the second bus who weren’t injured, but several other people involved in the accident were taken to the hospital for treatment.
No charges have been filed against either bus driver, but the driver of the second bus may be charged with failure to yield right of way.
