Injuries Reported after Two Vehicles Damaged during Rollover Accident
Two vehicles were involved in a rollover crash in Clarksville on Wednesday evening, causing two people to suffer injuries.
Per a report by WKRN.com, the accident happened at around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Cunningham Lane in Montgomery County. The vehicles involved in the accident included a white GMC Envoy SUV and a gray Pontiac Grand Am. The Envoy rolled over and came to rest on its roof.
Both drivers were injured during the accident. One of the drivers suffered only minor injuries, but the other driver was more seriously injured and was transported to Tennova Healthcare to receive treatment for his or her injuries. Clarksville Police say that he or she is currently in stable condition.
After an investigation by the CPD, it was revealed that one of the drivers was turning from Fort Campbell Boulevard to Cunningham Lane and failed to yield to oncoming traffic, which may have caused the accident. The driver that failed to yield was cited for failure to use reasonable care.
Emergency responders closed the intersection for a little more than one hour as they worked to clear the scene and investigate the crash. It was reopened at around 7 p.m.
