Martin Luther King Parkway Closed Due to Serious Collision in Clarksville
A collision between a sport utility vehicle and a car caused serious injuries and led to Martin Luther King Parkway closing for around one hour Wednesday.
According to a report by The Leaf-Chronicle, the accident occurred around 4 p.m. close to the intersection of Fire Station Road and Martin Luther King Parkway. The crash caused debris to scatter across the roadway and eastbound lanes to close for one hour, according to a statement from a lieutenant with the Clarksville Police Department.
The impact of the collision caused the SUV to roll over several times, injuring a male passenger inside the vehicle. His injuries required him to be transported to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. Two other occupants of the SUV and the driver of the car involved in the accident did not suffer serious injuries.
The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the Clarksville Police Department.
