On Friday, June 19, 2020, John Griffith was elected to serve as president of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA) for its 2020-2021 term. Griffith practices personal injury law in Franklin, Tennessee, at his firm Griffith Law, PLLC, and he will fill the role formerly occupied by our owner and founder, Matt Hardin, from 2019-2020.
Matt now moves into the role of immediate past president, and he believes that Griffith will excel in his new role, stating: “John will be a true asset to the Association and the citizens of Tennessee. As an experienced personal injury lawyer, he fights on behalf of deserving people and will do a tremendous job leading the state’s top trial attorneys as president.”
Griffith has worked as a personal injury lawyer in Middle Tennessee for two decades, and he has accumulated recognition and many superlatives during that time.
He was recognized among the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” in 2008 and 2009 by the American Association for Justice and was selected to attend the Trial Lawyers College in 2012. In 2013 and 2014, his peers recognized his status as a top lawyer in the state by selecting him to the “Best of the Bar” list. And in 2018, he received the TTLA Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award.
In addition to Griffith’s election as president, new board members were selected from 9 districts across the state as well as one at-large district.
