Multiple Accidents Cause Traffic Delays on Nashville Interstates
Two separate accidents on Nashville interstates Tuesday morning caused traffic to back up until emergency crews were able to clear the wreckage from the roads.
According to a report by The Tennessean, the first accident involved multiple vehicles and occurred around 6:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 65 near Briley Parkway at exit 90.
A spokesperson for the Nashville Metro Police says the accident involved a motorcycle, a tractor-trailer, and a passenger vehicle and that injuries were reported in the crash.
Another accident occurred around 6:50 a.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Briley Parkway. The Tennessean’s report on these accidents states that the wreckage was cleared from both accident scenes and that traffic was flowing smoothly again on I-40 and I-65 by 8 a.m.
