Van Driver Causes Accident after Swerving in Front of Dump Truck on I-24
The driver of a white Chevy van swerved in front of a dump truck on Interstate 24 in Nashville, Tennessee, Monday morning, causing the dump truck driver to swerve out of the way and his vehicle to roll over onto its side.
A staff report by wkrn.com states that Nashville Metro Police are still looking for the driver of the white Chevy van, as he fled the scene of the accident shortly after the dump truck flipped over.
The accident caused the driver of the dump truck to suffer minor injuries to his arm. As a result of the accident and debris that spilled from the dump truck, emergency workers and police closed the exit 54 ramp on Interstate 24 for two hours to clean up the accident scene before reopening that section of the road around 11 a.m.
Although police have a vague description of the van and driver, they’re still looking for more leads to help in their search at this time.
